POWERFUL STEPS TO TAKE
In today’s video I want to share some very powerful action steps that you can take at home to honour your body AND mind at this time.
Foods, teas, spices, supplements can all help, and we also have to address our mindset, give ourselves time to do self-care to help to ground so we can feel just a bit more at ease within ourselves.
Here are 5 tips to support your immune health:
Tip 1: Address Emotional Eating – I have witnessed in my clients an urge to emotionally eat with the uncertainty going on right now. While we can think food is a crutch to lean on right now, the more refined foods we eat, and the more overindulgence we stress our bodies out with, the more we could suppress our immune system. This is because refined sugars and highly processed food take more energy to break down. They impact your blood sugar more significantly, they can fuel inflammation in your body and leave your system feeling exhausted and not necessarily able to produce the immune boosting cells we need to ward off germs. Addressing emotional eating ALWAYS helps my clients build their immunity and they get sick much less often once we work on this.
Tip 2: Add in Immune Boosting Foods – Foods rich in Vitamin C like apples, oranges, bell peppers, broccoli, kiwi, papaya, fresh or frozen are great additions to your daily meals or snacks to help give your system a boost. Also in general, adding more fruits and vegetables into your daily meals and snacks right now will help your body flourish. Another powerful way to support immunity is with Newco Naturals BROCCOGEN 10® WITH SULFORAPHANE.

Tip 3: Essential oils – Eucalyptus, tea tree and cinnamon oil are all great essential oils to drop in your shower and do some deep breathing. Just ensure they are 100% natural and safe for skin.
Tip 4: Self-care – Taking time to de-stress and disconnecting from technology while being informed is so important. Being informed is one thing, I think it’s also important for us to disconnect to create some time to connect with ourselves. What are some things you can do? Connect with your family or loved ones at home or via phone. Meditation, deep breathing, journaling, music, coloring, naps, getting to bed a bit earlier, making sure you are drinking enough water and preparing nutritious meals and snacks can all be great ways to take care of you.
Tip 5: Sleep – Rest is vital for our energy levels, hormones and immune health. Getting your 8 hours right now as best you can will really help you have a more clear mind, higher energy levels and support a strong immune system. I always suggest trying to be asleep before 11 p.m. Support your nervous system with Bach Flower Rescue Remedy. Also Chamomile, Passionflower or Holy Basil tea can help with sleep and calming the nervous system down.
